THE MAN FROM NOWHERE (4) by Rachel Lee: After reporting a major inventory discrepancy, accountant Trish Devlin notices a man on a bench across the street from her bedroom window on consecutive mornings. The police assure her he isn't dangerous, but Trish decides to find out why he's there. Grant Wolfe is a brilliant scientist who suffered a major tragedy, and he believes he has precognition of an event that will happen in the future. Grant is certain that someone is going to kill Trish. It's easy to get caught up in the latest Conard County story, which touches on some intriguing ideas. Lee delivers a wonderful reminder that even in times of sophisticated scientific discovery and technological gadgetry, it's often the everyday, face-to-face connections that matter the most.
