This is a fun beginning to the Mystyx series. Teens will easily relate to the feeling of being out of control, with a splash of the paranormal to keep it really interesting.
Krystal wishes she was back in New York with her dad, but her mom has dragged her to a new home in Lincoln, Conn., complete with a new stepfather. If that wasn’t life-altering enough, Krystal can now see ghosts, like recent murder victim Ricky. Krystal would love to ignore what is happening to her but fellow students Sasha and Jake won’t let her, believing she has secret abilities just like they do since they all have the same odd, M-shaped birthmark.
