Book Review

MANIFEST DESTINY
by Gracie C. McKeever

Genre: Erotic Romance, Paranormal

RT Rating

This third book in McKeever's matchmaker series is a pleasant read with lots and lots of hot sex. The characters are good, but the heroine comes off selfish at times. While there are some paranormal elements, such as Jason's ability to read the heroine's mind, they don't add much. The story reads more like a straight contemporary.

Evelyn Vega's sister has set her up with a vacation at Freeborn Ranch. Jason Makepeace is one hot cowboy, but city girls are not what he wants -- at least until he meets Evelyn. It isn't long until they're ripping each other's clothes off. But Jason wants a relationship, and Evie has been hurt before. Plus, being older than Jason scares her. Jason goes to New York to bring Evie back, but words spoken in anger could destroy them. Still, he can read her mind, and that might help him win her. (Siren, Feb., 275 pp., $13.99)
