MARRIAGE, MANHATTAN STYLE
After five years of marriage, wealthy businessman Reed Wellington III and his wife, Elizabeth, are drifting further apart daily. Elizabeth hopes that having a baby will strengthen their relationship, but Reed's too focused on his own problems -- including blackmail and accusations of insider trading -- to think about her needs. Then a tragedy makes Elizabeth the guardian of her nephew, so both she and Reed have someone else's well-being to consider. But will it bring them together? Barbara Dunlop's Marriage, Manhattan Style (3) is awfully plot-heavy, and the characters are pretty superficial. But the Wellingtons have decent chemistry, and Reed's blackmail subplot is intriguing.
