Jenny's sheltered existence running a B&B in Maine is disrupted by the death of her good friend Cathy. Cathy's brother, L.A. hotshot Connor Wolfe, quickly decides Jenny's temporary role of guardian to his niece should become permanent and, horrified by Connor's alternative proposal of boarding school, she reluctantly agrees to help. Marriage in Name Only (3) boasts the sort of bad-boy hero that should genuinely appeal to readers, though initially some may find his attitude toward his niece too cold and his romantic appeal diminished. Barbara McMahon also delivers some nice chemistry.
