Always a strong writer who delves deeply into her characters' hearts, Maxwell builds a story where love and trust overcome deception and dishonor. Readers will understand the characters' family loyalty, need for acceptance and power of love in this Scandals and Seductions entry.

Richard Lynsted isn't at the theater to admire the talent or beauty of the "Scottish Songbird," Grace MacEachin; he's there to unmask her as a blackmailer. After her father was disgraced, Grace became determined to prove him innocent of embezzlement, which led to her blackmailing Richard's family. When she needs to flee London, Richard agrees to accompany her to Scotland to uncover the truth.

Though he is her enemy, he is the only man to get through her defenses and touch her heart. The journey is one of discovery, growing desire and heated passion set against the harsh reality of what they uncover about their families. Yet their love sets them free to find happiness. I think that this is the conclusion the the series that began with A Seduction At Christmas. I really enjoyed the plot and the characters. I really liked how Richard grew from a spoiled aristocrat to a happy man. I really felt for Grace. I think that both Richard and Grace grew. It really hurts when you find out your father is just human.
