Visiting a small town to write about "magic" cookies that make people fall in love is supposed to take journalist Flynn MacGregor a few hours. But his car and the weather keep him there. As if that weren't enough, his initial interview with Samantha Barnett, the woman who makes the treats, doesn't go well. But their sparring leads to more friendly pursuits. When Samantha finds out what's behind Flynn's cynicism, she wants to make his Christmas special, even though she knows he won't be hanging around afterward. Shirley Jump winds up A Bride for All Seasons with Marry-Me Christmas (4), a sweet story with terrific characters and a well-constructed plot.
