THE MATCHMAKER BRIDE (3) by Kate Hewitt: Emily Wood is the youngest head of human resources ever at Kingsley Engineering, a post that she didn’t get by mixing business and pleasure. Jason Kingsley, her handsome boss and the company CEO, has no intention of crossing any ethical lines with his employees, but that doesn’t prevent him from falling for Emily, a childhood friend now delectably all grown up. Jason, however, thinks that marriage should be “sensible” and not based on a fleeting emotion like romantic love. Is there a happily ever after for Emily and Jason, or are happy endings meant for less-sensible couples? Their relationship takes forever to build, making this a slow but emotionally rewarding read.
