THE MATCHMAKER’S HAPPY ENDING (3) by Shirley Jump: Marnie Franklin, Boston’s most successful matchmaker, doesn’t believe in true love. After too many failed relationships, she’s given up. When her cab driver smacks right into a silver sports car one night and the cabbie drives off, the car’s gorgeous driver offers her a ride home. Investor Jack Knight is immediately intrigued by Marnie. She agrees to a date and sparks fly, but Jack and Marnie’s workaholic habits may hinder their chance at love. Jump spins a romantic, contemporary twist on this fairy-tale favorite, as Marnie meets her “Knight” in shining armor. The book is sugary sweet, but readers may find there is a bit too much fluff. A 2007 reprint of Boardroom Bride and Groom is included.
