THE MATING GAME
It is the strangest offer romance novelist Mallory Ginelli has ever received. A British aristocrat and scientist wants her help on a project. At first she plans to turn down the offer, but when her younger sister gets into debt with a loan shark, she must accept.
Dexter Harrington, a brilliant researcher, is working on a breakthrough drug that might be the equivalent of female Viagra. Though he's an expert in the physiological aspects of sex and the female anatomy, his understanding of female emotions leaves something to be desired.
It's a rocky start but soon Mallory and Dexter see the positive attributes in one another. When Dexter invites her mother and sister to England, Braden Manor is awash in unique females. Unfortunately, Dexter has forgotten to mention one other small detail about his research. He needs to learn better communication skills so that he can relate to his soon-to-be fiancée.
Love is certainly not easy for the Ginelli women (Mallory's mom also gets a little romance!); however, their various attempts at mating make this book truly humorous and appealing. Historical author Melanie George uses her considerable skills to pen quite a winner with her first contemporary romance! (Apr., 349 pp., $5.99)
