After Alicia Parker's pregnant sister Melanie is in an accident, she needs extensive medical care, and there's no money. When Alicia asks a groggy Melanie who her baby's father is, Melanie names Dante D'Aquanni. Alicia confronts the Italian billionaire, who's quite upset that she's come to his home -- and brought the paparazzi with her. Not only is Alicia wrong about Dante, she's upset some delicate business negotiations. An apology isn't good enough; Dante wants payback. Abby Green's The Mediterranean Billionaire's Blackmail Bargain (2) doesn't add anything new to the familiar mistaken-identity plot. Furthermore, throughout most of the story, the hero remains cynical and suspicious, certain that the heroine is a gold digger and a liar. How romantic!
