This series has been original from start
to finish.
Karen Turner and her fellow special-ops agents, the Medusas, are in Norway on a training assignment when they accidentally stumble upon a cabin being used as the production site for a variant form of LSD that turns users murderous before leaving them dead. When the Medusas are assigned to work with Norwegian Defense Special Command Oberstloytnant Anders Larson to shut down the lab, Karen is instantly attracted to the only man she's ever found who might be able to beat her
in a fight. In The Medusa Prophecy (4), Cindy Dees' depiction of Karen's insecurity over her size and strength come across clearly in her hesitation to believe Anders' attraction to her. The way Dees weaves the attraction into her action-packed plot shows what a commanding storyteller she is.
