MELTDOWN (4.5) by Gail Barrett: When her grandfather, a world-famous chemist, is investigated as a spy, Zoe Wilkinson also falls under suspicion. Then her grandfather is kidnapped and held for ransom until she produces a flash drive filled with secrets that could be used either for good or for destruction. To save her grandfather, Zoe heads for the airport -- the flash drive is hidden in a secluded Nevada town -- with the bad guys on her heels, and finds Cooper Kennedy, the man she loved and lost years before. She and Cooper take off in a plane as bullets fly. Out of fuel, they land in the middle of nowhere. Zoe is determined to get to the flash drive, not knowing Cooper's real plans. But Cooper can't deny his love for Zoe. This is a tale of nonstop excitement, passion, broken hearts mending and a heroine who has to discover the brave, determined woman she really is.
