MENDED HEARTS (4) by Ruth Logan Herne: Jeff Brennan is unhappy when his half-brother, who had put the family through a lot, returns after 20 years. Jeff cannot, or will not, forgive him. Then he meets Hannah Moore, to whom he is strongly attracted, yet who has trouble separating him and his job as CEO from her ex-fiancé, who was ambition driven. Hannah also has her own forgiving to do. The main person she must forgive is herself, for a tragedy in her past she couldn’t prevent. This emotionally satisfying Man of Allegany County story addresses the need to forgive and be forgiven, accept the past and embrace the future, all wrapped around a complicated and utterly compelling romance.
