Book Review

MERCY SNOW
by Tiffany Baker

Genre: Mainstream, General Mainstream Fiction

RT Rating

Fraught with unknowns, this novel tells a tale of redemption and loyalty to family, no matter the cost. The two main characters are fiercely dedicated to their convictions, driving a plot that remains as winding as Devil’s Slide Road until the shocking final confrontation.

The town of Titan Falls exists in a state of quiet routine centered around the local paper mill until the night a bus accident on Devil’s Slide Road threatens to unravel everything the town has come to know. June McAllister, wife of the mill owner, values her status to a point where she will do anything to keep the past where she feels it belongs. The only thing threatening June’s picture-perfect life is the will of Mercy Snow, who is determined to clear her brother’s name after he is blamed for the accident. These two strong-minded women clash head-on, causing skeletons to tumble out of closets and the future of Titan Falls to be irrevocably altered. (GRAND CENTRAL, Jan., 336 pp., $26.00)
