Because she lost her entire family in a fire when she was 11, Elise Richardson decides to create one of her own by getting artificially inseminated. She gets a little more than she bargained for, however, when she finds out she's having four babies. Elise is sure she can cope on her own, but when she runs into medical problems, her partner, Joe Bennett, is willing to help out. Elise and Joe quickly learn that the friendship they've shared for years has turned into something far more meaningful. Merry Christmas, Babies (3), by Tara Taylor Quinn, is a touching story about making up for the past and the power of friendship. Elise's and Joe's uncertainty is realistic.
