Rival members of two mercenary organizations must again join forces when an assassination hits too close to home in Kennedy’s latest. Juliet Mason is one of the mysterious Noelle’s best operatives, but even she will need help with this one. This older woman/younger man scenario is sizzlingly sexy as well as deeply emotional, as two loners fight against the realization they could make an amazing team. Kennedy aces another one!

Although Juliet hasn’t seen her foster brother Henry in a while, she is devastated when she gets a call saying he has been shot and is dying in Belarus. When Juliet arrives at Henry’s deathbed, it appears that Henry was not the target, but rather it was his fiancée who was killed first. Coldly and methodically, Juliet sets out to avenge them. While obtaining some critical info, Juliet is badly wounded and calls her friend/co-worker Isabel for help. With Isabel and Trevor on their honeymoon, Ethan Hayes, the youngest member of Jim Morgan’s team, answers the phone. Taking the initiative, Ethan flies to Belarus to help Juliet. Despite their expertise and resources, Juliet and Ethan are up against a very powerful and ruthless enemy. (SIGNET ECLIPSE, Apr., 368 pp., $7.99)
