THE MIGHTY QUINNS: BRODY (4) by Kate Hoffmann: Brody, one of the three Australian Quinn brothers who grew up on a cattle station in Queensland, wants to be a football player. But at 26, Brody is a has-been, after having been severely injured in a motorcycle accident. In jail for a drunken brawl, he meets Payton Harwell, an American who ran away from a wedding her parents wanted but she didn't, who's been arrested for not paying her restaurant tab. On the station, where Brody brings Payton to work with the horses, she becomes a stronger person. But will it be enough when her arrogant, rich husband-to-be comes to claim her? Strong, imperfect but lovable characters, an interesting setting and great sensuality make this completely satisfactory.
