Working the surveillance of a suspected embezzler with one of his brothers, photographer Liam Quinn runs to the rescue when a burglar threatens a woman. Liam gets smacked in the head with a lamp for his trouble. Ellie Thorpe may be an accountant and not his usual type, but Liam believes in her innocence—and tries to help her prove it. Kate Hoffmann's THE MIGHTY QUINNS: LIAM (3) may not be the strongest book in the series, but the plausible plot and characterizations are nicely defined, especially the heroine's.
