Former wild child Denise Watson has settled into respectability, running a successful domestic/clerical agency. Then wealthy businessman Gideon Falcon makes an outrageous request: He wants Denise to pretend she's his wife to help him close a deal. Reluctantly she accepts, and for the most part, the arrangement is pleasurable. Then Denise starts wishing the fantasy could become reality -- and her past comes back to haunt Gideon. Susan Crosby winds up Wives for Hire with The Millionaire's Christmas Wife (3). This book lacks the warmth and sweetness of the first two in the series, but the characters are handled well and have nice chemistry.
