Dr. Lily Whitney-Miller and her ghostwalker husband (from Shadow Game) continue their search for the missing female ghostwalkers. These special girls were separated as children and their whereabouts are unknown. Their first solid clue leads them into the swamps and to Dahlia LeBlanc. Ghostwalker Nicolas Trevane volunteers to track her down.

Upon his arrival at Dahlia's hideaway, Nicolas discovers it under siege. But the attackers haven't captured Dahlia, and he helps her escape. Devastated by the massacre of her caretakers, Dahlia's emotions threaten to destabilize her control over her powers. Luckily, Nicolas is able to help Dahlia with control. But the question remains: Who tried to kill her and why?

Book two in Feehan's Ghostwalker series gives plenty of evidence that this is going to be another compelling and spectacular series. The amazingly prolific author's ability to create captivating and adrenaline-raising worlds is unsurpassed. (Aug., 384 pp., $6.99)
