MISTRESS, INC.
by Niobia Bryant

Genre: Mainstream, Multicultural

RT Rating

Bryant superbly unites salacious, scandalous, hilarious and sobering characters to produce a titillating story that enthralls to the last twist. The first-person POV exposes the depth of treachery and karma involved when a friend and neighbor becomes your husband’s mistress. This book will evoke an array of emotions from readers as they clamor to savor every word.

When Jessa tries to end her affair with Eric, he nearly kills her before committing suicide. Months later she learns she’s pregnant, which ignites a war with his widow and parents. In the meantime she receives vulgar propositions from other married men, which spawns her idea of a business to help wives catch their cheating husbands. The most chilling proposition, however, threatens to unearth her past, rip her child from her and make her life a living hell. (DAFINA, Jun., 288 pp., $14.00)
