Two babies switched at birth. During routine blood tests, Marie Cadant discovers that her 3-year-old son, Ricky, is not her biological child. When she notifies Peter Hallock, the father of the other boy, confusion erupts. Both widowed, Marie and Peter eventually forge a marriage of convenience in order to parent the boys in a godly home. Cathy Marie Hake infuses a fairly weak plot with nuggets of God's truth. But the cardboard characters and lack of conflict in Mixed Blessings (2) make for a long-winded and unbelievable story.
