MOMMY'S HOMETOWN HERO
MOMMY'S HOMETOWN HERO (2) by Merrille Whren The sudden death of widowed actress Rachel Charbonneau's mother has her and her 5-year-old daughter returning to the farm where she grew up. Once home Rachel discovers she still has feelings for neighbor Matt Dalton. He returns her affection but has trouble seeing past the famous actress to the woman she still is. Scarred both physically and emotionally by war, Matt doesn't see any future for Rachel and himself. Though it's a lovely premise for a romance, readers never get to know the characters, and there are superfluous scenes and a very unrealistic depiction of the heroine's life.
