Harrington’s second installment in the Murder by Design series is a cleverly woven account that keeps the reader in suspense until a skillfully embedded clue reveals the killer. Suspects abound among the lively cast and interesting relationships propel the action in this page-turner.

Interior decorator Deva Dunne is in the wrong place at the wrong time. Found standing over a dead body and a missing $20-million Monet in the home of a client, she’s definitely a “person of interest” in the murder. Rugged Lieutenant Victor Rossi wants Deva to leave the police work to the department. They’ve worked together before and there’s a mutual attraction, although her late husband still holds a special place in her heart. Another murder clouds the picture, especially when Deva is the one to find the body. When the body of a major suspect turns up, Deva’s life is put in danger. (CARINAPRESS.COM, dl $4.99)
