Three women meet and bond in the unusual setting of an anger-management course. E.R. nurse Susan Roth is at a stressful point in her life when an obnoxious man pushes her too far and she forcefully reacts. Hairstylist Tonya Rutherford won't let her cheating husband get away with his betrayal. Executive assistant Monica Saltzman has always depended on her looks and sex and is furious when she's dumped by her boss for a younger woman. Despite the serious subject, Mood Swing (3), by Jane Graves, uses humor to great effect, showing how these women change and learn their way to a happy ending. Graves' exploration of the potentially unsympathetic Monica's change was especially strong.
