A blend of the traditional captive/ captor romance and the paranormal will certainly put this novel on many must-buy lists. Monroe can put a chill in the atmosphere and heat up a love story. This book should cause quite a stir among readers and cement her reputation as a writer of original, entertaining stories.

Rather than sacrifice her
sister to a marriage to the ruthless
Laird of Sinclair, Emily Hamilton
agrees to be his bride. From their first meeting things do not go well and the marriage is canceled. But rather than return home to scorn and ridicule, she remains as Sinclair's sister's companion.

Lachlan Balmoral is not only laird, he's also the leader of a pack of Highland werewolves determined to destroy their rivals, the Sinclairs, who abducted one of their own. He plans to kidnap Sinclair's sister in revenge, but when Emily is taken along with Cait, he's in for a true battle of wills. Here is a woman unafraid of what he is and the only woman to awaken his soul. As anger turns to passion, evil forces within the clan nearly shatter Emily and Lachlan's happiness.
