MOONLIGHT, WINE, AND STAKES
by Lynn Warren

Genre: Paranormal/Urban Fantasy, Vampire, Paranormal Romance

RT Rating

Eden Camden is a vampire slayer/
hunter who walks the streets of Las Vegas, dealing with the demons that hunt humans. Eden is worried when it appears there's something in the wind and that the vampires and demons in the area are planning something big. With only her wits and training to keep her alive, Eden realizes that she has bigger problems than the vampires.

Suddenly, she can't help but find her guardian and trainer, Elliot, sexy and crave his touch. Elliot has always been remote and stuffy -- so why is he awakening her desires? Will she and Elliot succumb to the passion that burns between them, or will the master vampire put an end to their happiness?

This novel is fraught with issues and mimics Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The characters don't get a chance to fully develop, and Eden is a clueless wonder, which detracts from her role as female lead. It would have been stronger if a
little more creativity was included and
the ending was not rushed. (Aug., 312
