After her mother dies, violinist Jo Carroll learns that her real name is Colleen Drake, and that her mother hid her whole early life from her after she lost her memory in the same car accident that took her father's life. Jo later finds out that her family was moving to a new state to take her away from the boy she loved and help her develop her violin career. But her hometown -- and Garret Logan -- prove to be more than she can resist. Roz Denny Fox's More Than a Memory (4.5) has a novel plot and well-drawn characters. Fox successfully depicts Jo's confusion and insecurity and Garret's initial anger that turns to love.
