THE MORNING AFTER
A cryptic note Detective Pierce Reed receives in the mail is his first indication that the city of Savannah is in for a scare. He and partner Sylvia Morrisette can't make heads or tails of the message until two corpses are found within a single coffin— and one of them was an ex-lover of Pierce's. It's discovered shortly thereafter his ex had been buried alive.
After having made an ignominious start as a reporter, journalist Nikki Gillette is determined to prove herself, both to her father and the powers that be at the Savannah Sentinel. When she gains inside information about a new serial killer, it is Nikki who famously dubs the person "The Grave Robber." Nikki doesn't realize that the killer has big plans for her as well.
