Estranged from her family, Zooey Finnegan is working in a coffee shop while figuring things out. One of her customers, lawyer Jack Lever, needs a new nanny on short notice and talks Zooey into taking the job. They clash over his schedule, but Zooey and Jack get along -- most of the time -- and the kids adore her. Everything's fine until they act on their attraction. Jack's not interested in anything permanent, but Zooey finds she wants it all. Marie Ferrarella's Mother in Training (3) has flashes of her trademark wit and warmth, but it's a by-the-numbers story with a standard plot and conflict.
