A MOTHER'S WISH
Nine years ago, Winnie Porter gave up her baby at the insistence of her grandmother. Now the elderly woman has died, and Winnie journeys to a small New Mexico town to see her son, Robbie. Reclusive artist Aidan Black, his adoptive father, objects, but several mishaps keep Winnie from leaving. Attraction flares between her and Aidan, now a widower, but Winnie still needs to find a way to tell Robbie who she is. Karen Templeton begins Wed in the West with A Mother's Wish (4). Rich, flawed characters and their believable conflict are offset slightly by the overly cute ending, which some readers may appreciate.
