Attorney Nina Reilly has her toughest case ever. Her teenaged son Bob has asked her to defend 16-year-old Nikki Zack who is accused of murdering her uncle, Bill Sykes. Belligerent and unlikable, Nikki will be a tough sell.

Nina really does have her work cut out for her. Nikki was sneaking around her uncles place the night of his murder and was seen removing something from the premises. Complicating matters is the fact that Nikkis 19-year-old cousin Chris, son of her uncle, died in a plane crash moments before his father was murdered.

Nina finds it hard to believe that the two deaths on the same evening were a coincidence, so she hires investigator Paul Van Wagonerwho has always admired herto search for a connection. Nina and Paul are an experienced, dynamic team but even they are unprepared for the truth behind the murder of Bill Sykes.

Fraught with suspense and emotion, MOVE TO STRIKE is a spellbinding read, a feather in the cap of the sister writing team of Perri OShaughnessy. The sisters spin a tight story with lots of ups and downs and the ending definitely packs a wallop. (Aug., 400 pp., $23.95)
