RT Rating

When Jaine Bright joins her three friends, for a drink after work they come up with a list of requirements for "Mr. Perfect." What none of the four realize is that their joke list is about to become deadly serious.

The list is accidentally printed in the company newsletter and soon the likes of "Good Morning America" and "People" want to interview the four mysterious list-ladies. But, there is someone, who does not think it is funny at all. After one of her friends is brutally murdered, Jaine realizes she needs help from her obnoxious (but sexy) neighbor, police detective, Sam Donovan.

Over the last week the two neighbors, Sam and Jaine, have been feuding over the other's noise level. Their natures seem destined to strike sparks and the sexual tension is threatening to consume them.

Unfortunately, the killer vows not to stop until all four of the list-ladies are all dead.

There is nothing quite like a sexy and suspenseful story by the amazing Linda Howard! The witty, sparring relationship between Sam and Jaine is a delight. Mr. PERFECT is funny, exciting, gripping and sensuous, in fact it ranks as one of her all time best! This title was a hardcover Top Pick. (July, 343 pp., $7.99—Hardcover published August 2000)

Mr. Perfect

When Jaine Bright and her three girlfriends meet for dinner after work, they begin a discussion about what would make the perfect man.  He has to be faithful, reliable, and have a sense of humor. As their conversation heats up, they concoct a list that becomes an overnight sensation, spreading like wildfire through the internet.  But what started as a joke turns deadly when one of the four women are murdered.  Jaine turns to her neighbor, police detective Sam Donovan, for help unmasking the killer.

This is my favorite Linda Howard book.  There is hilarious dialogue, suspense and romance all in one story.  Excellent!  My rating:  5 Stars.
