Fantastic! You are sucked in from the very beginning. With a globe-trotting mystery, a great heroine and a possible international scandal, the story will have you eagerly anticipating the next book.

Photojournalist Sophie Medina returns to London after a long assignment overseas. She’s looking forward to seeing her husband, Nick Canning, a geologist and covert CIA operative. She finds the house a mess and blood all over, but no sign of Nick. After months of no news, a CIA handler tells her that her husband has been spotted in Russia and that he’s a suspect in his boss’ murder and illicit oil deals. Sophie moves to Washington, D.C., where a photo assignment gets her tangled up with senators, shady Russians and the CIA. Who can she trust? And more importantly, where is her husband?
