by Cara Black

Genre: Mystery/Suspense/Thriller, Mystery, Private Investigator

RT Rating

Black, with her seductive words, takes the armchair traveler to Paris. At the same time, there's a murder to solve with plenty of twists.

Late one evening P.I. Aimee Leduc comes face to face with her former boyfriend Yves Robert, an investigative journalist who pops in and out of Aimee's life. She decides to give him another chance, but the next morning Yves' body is discovered with his throat slit.

Aimee swears she'll find his killer and begins a dangerous quest to unearth what he was investigating prior to his death. She finds few clues and even less help from the people Yves worked with. Aimee realizes too late that she's stumbled onto something serious and that her own life is now in danger. (SOHO PRESS, Mar., 312 pp., $24.00)
