MY COWBOY VALENTINE (4.5) by Jane Porter and Tanya Michaels: Readers will love this Valentine’s Day twofer. In Porter’s “Be Mine, Cowboy,” Rachel James is just trying to keep a roof over her and her son’s head — until old flame Cade King steps back into her life. Rachel left Cade five years before, when he chose alcohol over her, but now he is back begging her forgiveness and making her fall in love with him all over again. Porter’s touchingly sweet reunion between her two main characters is wonderful. In “Hill Country Cupid,” dance teacher Tess Fitzpatrick offers to give single father Nick Calhoun a makeover. Nick’s not sure he wants to be back in the dating pool, but Tess’ exuberance inspires his confidence — and he has his sights set on Tess. Readers will love watching these familiar faces find romance.
