MY FAVORITE THIEF
by Karyn Monk

Genre: Historical Romance
Setting: 1875, England

RT Rating

The Earl of Bryden, Harrison Payne (aka the thief "Dark Shadow"), is in deep trouble. Lady Charlotte has caught him stealing a necklace at a party.

Charlotte should scream for help when she spies the masked jewel thief; instead, she volunteers to become his hostage. But the tables turn when Harrison is shot and Charlotte takes him home to heal.

Harrison is fascinated by Charlotte. He admires her courage and ingenuity in creating a home for disadvantaged women and children, but he is intent upon uncovering the secret she is trying so hard to hide.

Monk's plot, peopled with an utterly delightful cast of characters, grabs you from the first page. Charlotte's misfits steal your heart, to say nothing of the memorable hero and heroine, and the sensuality that sizzles between them. For a pure charmer of a read, you can't beat My Favorite Thief. SENSUAL (Jan., 368 pp., $5.99)
