Book Review

MY OWN WORST FRENEMY
by Kimberly Reid

Genre: Young Adult, Contemporary Young Adult

RT Rating

Reid’s debut, which kicks off her Langdon Prep series, perfectly nails what it’s like to be a scholarship student at a chi-chi private school, let alone being the new girl at school. Really apropos title. The amateur sleuth high jinks are fun. A great start to a promising new series.

Chanti is a reluctant scholarship student at Langdon, an exclusive private school, where she befriends two other scholarship students, Marco and Bethanie. They’re accused of a string of thefts at the school and Chanti goes into sleuth mode to discover who is really ripping off the students. It gets even heavier when houses are burglarized and Chanti and Marco are set up to take the fall.
