Trouble is percolating yet again in the sinfully delightful Castle of Dark Dreams. The incomparable Bangs adds another chapter to her offbeat yet sexy woo-woo series. Long-running characters Ganymede and Sparkle Stardust's own saga takes a dramatic turn, while Bangs' primary romantic duo faces danger of the supernatural kind. Great fun as always!

Botanist Cinn Airmid has always had a unique talent with plants, so much so that she may have inadvertently created sentient plants. When Cinn arrives at her new job, she doubts everyone's sanity. Suddenly there is talk of vampires, demons and cosmic troublemakers. Still, when Cinn sets eyes on night feeder Dacion, she has to admit something strange is going on. Dacion has played dead for centuries, trying to avoid the machinations of his maker, Stephen. Unfortunately, with Stephen and his army aiming for destruction, that's no longer possible. For cosmic troublemaker Ganymede, this confrontation might just cost him what he values most. (LEISURE, Oct., 336 pp., $7.99)
