Between assignments, nanny Melissa Fox works as a translator for Max Valentine, who's negotiating the opening of a Bella Lucia location in Qu'Arim. Visiting the site is unexpected -- as is meeting Sheikh Surim Al-Thani. Surim needs Melissa -- he's just become the guardian of three children, and he prevails on her to stay and help them adjust. She agrees, although she's attracted to Surim -- and well aware that she'll never be the suitable wife he's seeking. Barbara McMahon continues the Brides of Bella Lucia with The Nanny and the Sheikh (4), wrapping a realistic scenario in fantasy with lovely results.
