Once again, Caletti proves to be one of the best writers in her genre with a book full of heart, depth, great twists and fully realized, soulful and flawed characters. Her top-notch writing rivals that of YA master Sarah Dessen.

High school senior Jade has a panic disorder that makes her feel like she can't breathe and she might die. Once she takes control of this, other things fall into place, like meeting the boy in the red jacket. Meanwhile, trouble with her mother -- who embarrassingly clings to the high school rituals Jade shuns -- climaxes with the ultimate embarrassment for them both.
