RT Rating

Wiseman gets to the heart of marriage and family issues in a way that will resonate with readers, with an intricately written plot featuring elements that seem to be ripped from current headlines. God provides hope for Wiseman’s characters even in the most desperate situations.

Brad and Darlene Henderson moved their family, including three teens, from Houston to the small town of Round Top, Texas. The adjustment takes time for the entire family, and especially for 15-year-old Grace. When Darlene takes a job outside of the home for the first time in many years, working as an assistant in a special-needs school, it causes some slight rifts in the family. Can Brad and Darlene learn to trust God and band together, even in the midst of frightening circumstances, or will they allow their family to crumble under the pressure?
