NEVER A LADY
by Marlene Suson

Genre: Historical Romance
Setting: Victorian England

RT Rating

Maximilian Chartwell is determined not to let a scheming American fortune hunter ensnare his younger cousin, the Duke of Penrose, in marriage.

Virginia Blair knows nothing about her stepmothers plans to marry her
into British aristocracy. The outspoken American vows not to marry anyone she doesnt love. Virgie is as surprised as Max is when her stepmothers plot is uncovered, and she finds it difficult to convince him that she will not marry the duke and that she also finds herself unexpectedly fascinated by Max.

A brooding, handsome hero, an overbearing stepmother, a young nobleman and an unconventional heroine match wits and passions in this delightful comedy. Youre sure to smile and be captivated by Virgies daring, and the way she manages to convince Max that marriage and love do mix.

Kudos to Ms. Suson for once again bringing us a fun read. SENSUAL (Aug., 380 pp., $5.99)
