Swanson’s second Devereaux’s Dime Store book is quite the caper. She is masterful in her storytelling. The plot flows without a hitch, and cozy fans will enjoy the small-town high jinks.

Devereaux Sinclair, owner of Devereaux’s Dime Store and Gift Baskets, enjoys life in Shadow Bend after her investment career ends in scandal. She has been seeing Deputy U.S. Marshal Jake Del Vecchio, but when he cancels a date, she goes to a dance with her former high school sweetheart, Dr. Noah Underwood. During the dance she receives a call from her friend Boone, who’s been charged with murder. Dev and her gang team up to solve the murder, meanwhile she has to sort out her feelings for Jake and Noah.
