Nightshade was one of the best operatives in the American Renegade Company, but Sasha Malone–Sterling is a mother now, not an agent. When her estranged husband Kane, a British agent, goes rogue, however, she must return to the field. Can she save her husband, her marriage and the hostage being held by a madman? Katherine Garbera's Night Life (3) has great potential in exploring the dual dynamic of a mother and an undercover operative, and in the strained relationship of Sasha and Kane. However, the confused plot's muddled execution doesn't do the premise justice.
