A NIGHT IN THE PALACE
A NIGHT IN THE PALACE (2) by Carole Mortimer: Lily Barton is traveling to Italy to visit her twin brother, when, at the airport, a chauffeur whisks her off to the home of Count Dmitri Scarletti, her brother’s boss. Dmitri has no qualms about detaining Lily in his home; after all, she’s his best chance at finding out where her brother took his baby sister. But Dmitri never expected his reluctant holiday houseguest to be so charming. The fabricated external conflict, sometimes tedious dialogue and a hero who is difficult to sympathize with might make this a struggle to finish.
