THE NIGHT SHE GOT LUCKY
This second in Donovan’s stories of dog-walking friends is a wonderful combination of love and laughter, with serious moments as well as some intrigue. The animal characters are a delightful addition to the story.
When a slightly psychic old lady matchmaker tells Ginger Garrison that there is a man for her and she could still get lucky, she never imagined the woman was being literal. Yet when nature photographer Lucio “Lucky” Montevez enters her life, she is surprised and amused. Lucio is neither, as he needs to focus on winning back his reputation and rebuilding his career, not becoming involved with a woman. However, when it becomes apparent that things are not going his way, he decides to turn his talent to taking portraits of pets and their owners, which puts him right back to being involved with Ginger, as well as her twin teenage sons and self-centered ex-husband.
