This first book in a new trilogy starts off with a bang. The action builds right through to the explosive ending. Allison is a relatable character, and Staub really nails the atmosphere of New York immediately following 9/11.
Allison Taylor and her adopted city of New York awaken to the 9/11 attacks. Amidst the devastation, it’s discovered that her neighbor has been brutally murdered. She loves New York, but she is afraid, especially when the men in her neighbor’s life seem to have motives for murder. Allison must be careful not to be the Nightwatcher’s next victim.
