Rochelle Alers is back in fine form with the eighth in her Hideaway Legacy series
with Joshua and Vanessa Kirkland's son.

When Michael Blanchard Kirkland makes a decision he sticks with it. He's
in transition from military man to civilian when he meets social worker Jolene
Walker. Distrustful of men, she is still recovering from her twin sister's
violent death at the hands of an abusive husband. Michael is certain she's his
"mate for life," but Jolene needs some convincing.

When Jolene's life is threatened, Michael vows to protect her. Jolene finally
succumbs to her feelings for Michael, realizing that he is a man of his word.

Ms. Alers stays true to the history established in the previous seven books of
the series. Her attention to detail and extensive character development make
Michael and Jolene's story, and their passion, come alive. Warning: Do not start
this book at bedtime, because you won't get any sleep until it is finished!
